Monaghan Youth Theatre was founded in 2007 and became an affiliated member of Youth Theatre Ireland in 2010. The company has 50+ members aged 12 to 18 years. MYT provides opportunities for young people to take part in high quality productions, receive training in a wide range of theatre and performance skills, and lessons in building confidence and self-awareness while making lifelong friends in the process. MYT aims to develop members’ skills as theatre-makers, performers and devisers as well as challenging them to embrace the full range of styles, forms and possibilities within theatre and the arts.
