A yearly program for the young people of County Mayo, aged between 12-18 years of age. Empowering them to believe in their own creativity, skill set and in themselves, to live in the moment and see no boundaries in the world of theatre.

The drama group, Aisteoirí Béal Easa alongside facilitator, Mary Ellen Doran, have created and provide a weekly program to the young people of County Mayo, aged between 12 - 18 years of age which is supported by Mayo Arts Office.

The activities within the youth theatre aim to develop personal, social and artistic skills. The youth theatre is centered around the young person’s needs and interests in theatre and other art forms. We use ensemble approaches to ensure creativity and promote a collaborative working relationship between the youth group, the facilitators and the committee of Aisteoirí Béal Easa.

The artistic goal for the youth theatre group is to create a safe, fun and creative environment for young people to explore, have ownership of their work and that it will inspire and innovate young people all around Mayo.

Developed in 2022 following an expression of Interest Workshop between Mayo Arts Office and Youth Theatre Ireland.
