Since its formation in 2020, Ballyfermot Youth Theatre (BYT) had existed almost entirely online due to the pandemic. Now, since 2022 we have relocated to our new premises in Ballyfermot where we engage young people in both theatre and film projects. BYT takes on a multi-disciplinary approach to Youth Theatre by incorporating film and production technology as well as traditional drama practices.
BYT is open to young people of the ages 14 – 18 & is hosted at Famlibase where it is facilitated by Stephen Tully and James Peppard.
Cabinteely Youth Theatre focuses on the artistic, social, and personal development of their members through Drama. The members develop their drama skills through weekly workshops in areas such as improvisation, script-work, movement etc. CYT have won many awards over the years both nationally and internationally. They have taken part in and run festivals, and produced their own productions. For more information, please message CYT via their Facebook page, which you can access by clicking here.
