Exciting professional development opportunities will be available over the next three years as the BUZZ Network delivers multinational training events, called Labs, for youth theatre practitioners.

The BUZZ network includes leading arts organisations from Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Belgium, and Germany. Its goal is to strengthen the European youth theatre sector through cross-border cooperation. The project is funded by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme. Each of these Labs will be facilitated by a specialist over five days and each is scheduled alongside a key national youth theatre event in the host country’s calendar. With distinct Labs for artists and leaders, the multinational groups will explore new ways of working that can inspire activities at home. The BUZZ Network aims to engage 100 professionals from over twenty European countries in this exciting project.
Artists’ Labs are created for professional theatre artists who create performance work with young people. Each Lab will focus on a different topic in contemporary youth theatre practice.
Leaders’ Labs are for youth theatre leaders at a key stage in their career. They focus on creative and project management skills that can influence their practice at home.
In addition to exploring specific themes, there will be space for peer-to-peer learning and group work offering insights into how other countries and professionals develop their practice, projects and sectors.
