Gonzo Youth Theatre, established in 2010, aims to provide access to drama for young people aged between 8 and 23 years of age by promoting, developing, and supporting high-quality youth theatre with an emphasis on the attainment of artistic excellence and on personal and social development. Gonzo Youth Theatre is aimed at any young person with an interest in any aspect of drama. Professional theatre practitioners are regularly invited to provide specialist workshops. This specialist training is an intrinsic part of the Gonzo experience and skill-building of youth theatre. Gonzo Youth Theatre also organises annual trips to see professional theatre productions.
Pod Youth Theatre was founded in 2018, formerly Ramor Young Players set up in 1999 in Ramor Theatre. Pod YT caters for young people from the age of 8-18. Pod YT promotes youth theatre opportunities that focus on the artistic, personal, and social development of young people. We adopt an ensemble approach as a fundamental principle of practice, involving young people in decision-making and aspiring to the highest artistic standards and production values that resources will allow. We welcome all young people, regardless of ability or background and aim to build collaborative relationships between members, leaders and theatre staff that are based on respect. Pod Youth Theatre is supported by Ramor Theatre and Cavan Arts office.
Wonder Youth Theatre wants to develop and empower young people to use their voice to promote integration, inclusion, and identity. We do this through drama workshops and performances that respond to the needs of our members. Our group works with young people ages 12 to 21. We currently have 18 members aged between 12 to 18. Operating from Saint Joesph's Parish Hall in Ballyjamesduff, they are currently taking new members.
