Pathways to Professionalism is a dynamic programme geared towards senior youth theatre members aged 16+ who are interested in careers in theatre or the arts.
It offers a wide range of workshops and residencies to broaden young people’s horizons and create new possibilities for their futures.
In the past we have offered design workshops in collaboration with Dublin Fringe Festival, monologue and audition workshops, and in 2023 we introduced Member to Facilitator for youth theatre members who are interested in exploring youth theatre facilitation.

Member to Facilitator
This programme is a short residential weekend aimed at senior youth theatre members who wish to or are taking on leadership and facilitation roles in their youth theatres. Member to Facilitator is all about the A to Z of the youth theatre experience, for example: what is the purpose of a warm-up? And how do you build a workshop?
This is ideal for anyone who is wants to learn new skills, make new friends, or is interested in directing. Whether you have never led a workshop or warm-up before, or you want to gain the skills and confidence to do so, this is the perfect opportunity to get a feel for what is involved.
Here's what previous participants got from the programme:
"I liked getting to experience other people’s perspective on facilitating, and comprehending how to lay out a workshop plan."
"I plan to use what I have learned to help me map out plans, but also use what I've learned in regards to monitoring my own progress and be conscientious of what I want people to get out of a workshop."
"I thought the weekend was very well structured and that all the facilitators did a fantastic job throughout the weekend helping us through what we needed to learn."
You must be 16 years of age and proof of age is required upon acceptance of your place. You must be a full and current member of your youth theatre in order to participate.
