Blessington Youth Theatre is a volunteer-led theatre group that has been running for 25 years. The group is inclusive and welcomes members aged 8 to 16, staging productions such as musicals, drama reads, and film making. The leaders of the group take pleasure in seeing how much it gives back to the children and the community.

Youth theatre is about learning new theatrical skills and developing old ones, pushing oneself outside of their comfort zone to produce pieces of art.

Blessington Youth Theatre aims to develop confidence in performance while providing children with opportunities to develop musical abilities, creativity, teamwork skills, self-expression, memory and focus, and a sense of community.

The group provides a safe environment for young people to explore what is important to them and express their needs creatively.

Making Waves Youth Theatre was founded in 2018, is a registered charity and is based in and generously supported by the Whale Theatre in Greystones Co.Wicklow. Making Waves YT offers young people (aged between 12 – 18+ years) in Greystones and the greater North Wicklow locality the opportunity and space to learn about and make great theatre through our workshops, developing and staging productions and offering opportunities to attend theatre created by other groups and companies. Our creative space is safe, inclusive and secure and enables our members to develop their skills and confidence in performing, devising and writing and in the many other areas of theatrical production. We also have a lot of fun!

Founded in 2017, Bray-based Mr. Sands Youth Theatre operates an open-door policy and welcomes anyone aged 12-17. Mr. Sands is a safe, non-judgmental, fun space to Make Theatre, Make Friends, and Make Memories.  Respect and teamwork are at the core of what we do. The result is a growing ensemble of young people who are motivated by a hunger to develop their performance skills and a passion for devising and producing bold and challenging work of relevance to them for their local community and beyond. Mr. Sands’ core activities include weekly workshops, theatre productions, filmmaking, theatre outings, and social events. We also regularly take part in youth theatre festivals and exchanges that have taken us across Europe.
