Sinéad Mooney

Sinéad is a theatre maker, writer, and multimedia artist, with a strong background in directing, devising, writing, and drama facilitation. A dedicated member of Kildare Youth Theatre in her teenage years, she has been facilitating workshops and directing plays with young people on a freelance basis since 2021.

Sinéad's youth theatre practice is deeply collaborative, with a particular enthusiasm for creating work that is ambitious, playful, vibrant, and relevant to young people, their interests, and their concerns. She is highly adaptable and interested in working with ensembles both large and small. A natural multidisciplinarian, she is passionate about introducing young people to all the different aspects of the theatre production process, encouraging them to get involved at every level.

Sinéad is available for and interested in short and longer-term engagements, one-off workshops, and specialist projects. She is especially interested in directing projects, co-creating new theme-based pieces with ensembles, and mentoring young people in directing, writing, and designing their own original work.
