Artist biography
Sharon is a drama facilitator and youth arts and wellness practitioner, with over 20 years experience facilitating workshops in the arts with young people. These include drama, street theatre, creative dance, visual art, and wellbeing through creativity with young people.
Sharon brings with her a broad skill-set that offers a unique opportunity for young people to grow and develop their creativity, boost their confidence, and take ownership of what they work on collectively. She values creative expression and is passionate about using a variety of methods to bring out the best work in the participants she teaches.
Sharon started as a community arts worker directing and producing street theatre, then furthered her studies and successfully went on to run workshops in wellbeing through the arts. She continues to work with youth organisations, schools, community arts festivals and Erasmus+ projects.
As well as being hugely creative, her workshops prompt important life skills, such as increased self-esteem, active problem solving, self-reliance and team building. All valuable tools for both off and on stage
