Artist biography
I am a theatre practitioner and movement director from the border town of Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, with a strong background in drama performance, movement directing, and creative facilitation. My practice is rooted in both creative and educational settings.
As a neurodivergent artist, my practice is deeply informed by my lived experience, allowing me to create inclusive, accessible spaces where diverse modes of communication and creative expression are valued.
My artistic practice draws from Commedia Dell’Arte, Mask, Puppetry, Lecoq, Laban, and Viewpoints, blending physical theatre and movement with a strong focus on storytelling and creative play.
Since completing my Master’s, I have realised that my true passion lies in working with children and young people. I am an Monaghan Youth Theatre alumni from the Garage Theatre in Monaghan. I have facilitated drama and movement workshops with organisations including BounceBack Youth Services in Belturbet and Ballyjamesduff (Co. Cavan), Cavan/Monaghan ETB, Planet Youth, PeacePlus, and Youthreach.
One particularly rewarding project involved facilitating two separate youth groups who had never met before, preparing them to perform in front of one another. My ability to hold space, build trust, and create a supportive atmosphere allowed both groups to engage confidently and creatively.
