Artist biography
Physical and emotional safety come first in Fern's practice, and from there they wish for everyone to enjoy their time in the workshops and learn something new.
Fern currently facilitates weekly workshops for multiple groups in Dreamstuff and Barnstorm Youth Theatre.
Fern has worked with historically marginalised and disadvantaged communities in Kilkenny through Youth Theatre and writing workshops.
Their own background as a sibling of a person with Down Syndrome has informed their awareness of inclusion and a need for ethical approaches at all times, no matter how many reinventions of the wheel are necessary.
Fern loves all the Youth Theatre staples - ensemble building, improvisation exercises, devising, movement and theatre games.
Above all, Fern is very passionate about Youth Theatre and facilitation, and will ensure they do all they can to provide a safe, comfortable and fun workshop space.
