Artist biography
I am a director, dramaturge, playwright and performer/storyteller with extensive experience teaching all of these things to young people.
I have extensive training in areas such as clown/comedy, improvisation, directing, theatre making and movement. This training informs both my work and the workshops I facilitate with young people.
I have directed over 30 plays, including professional shows and work with youth theatres and students (mainly third level). These shows include new writing, solo performance, classic text and devised work. My work as director has toured internationally to the UK and the US.
As dramaturge, I develop work with established and upcoming playwrights and companies. Most recently, I helped develop Shane Casey's "The Man Who Talks To Statues" (Dublin Fringe 2024).
As performer/storyteller, I have performed work in Ireland, the UK, the US and France. I also performer as part of the recently established Limerick IMPROV troupe, the Cantina Comedy Collective. I am currently developing a semi-autobiographical, solo show about ancestry and inter-culturalism, which I hope to perform in late 2025.
