Artist biography
I have been working as a facilitator consistently now since 2010 in community, arts-related, volunteer, educational & public service settings.
I completed an Actor-as-Educator training course in London 2010, which was a comprehensive course covering how to use my acting skills as teaching techniques, while also learning the basics about setting lesson plans, good practise etc.
The vast majority of my work as a facilitator has been as Artistic Director & Lead Facilitator with Act Out Youth Theatre (formally Meath Youth Theatre Company), which has been running since 2013.
As the Lead Facilitator of Act Out Youth Theatre, I am responsible for designing a unique annual programme for each group, in collaboration with the members, the rest of the facilitation team & the volunteer board. I am the lead facilitator in workshops, where I am responsible for developing & delivering engaging skills training workshops, that are different every week & responsive to the group in question.
I have expertise in facilitating various areas of Acting Technique - from voice; singing; movement; improvisation; devising; audition techniques, text analysis; ensemble building; Acting Methods etc.
