Synopsis
The play is a story about love, teenage love. It’s about 16 year old Derek, who is useless with girls. It’s about Derek’s quest for love. The title of the piece comes from Derek’s unswerving belief that life and love should happen exactly like it does in the movies. He gets proven wrong! It’s a boy meets girl story with the help of Boys and Girls (and a movie star!) The piece should function like a slightly surreal Romantic Comedy. The cast ‘performs’ the piece to help Derek find love.
