PlayShare: Volume One

PlayShare: Volume One is Youth Theatre Ireland’s first published collection of plays for performance by young people. The collection features five plays written by Mark O’Rowe, Gerry Stembridge, Veronica Coburn, Max Hafler and Ciarán Gray. The plays explore issues of love, death, loyalty, friendship, violence, and the struggle to be oneself in the face of social pressure.

With cast sizes of 8 to 16 characters, a variety of settings from a side-street in Galway to a Dublin estate to a Paris hotel, and styles ranging from gritty realism to a rhythm piece to impressionistic ensemble work, PlayShare : Volume One  presents a series of comic and tragic contemporary tales for youth theatre and drama groups.
