Young Critics Applications are now OPEN!

                        Young Critics 2022

The Young Critics is one of Youth Theatre Ireland’s most popular programmes and this year we are celebrating our 20th birthday!

Over the course of 6 months, we will explore what is theatre criticism? How are reviews shaped and composed? We will expand our concepts of what theatre criticism can be, with youth theatre members opinions at the centre.

We will meet both online and in person, with two residentials – one in Cork and one in Dublin. These residentials take place over the course of two festivals where will we get the opportunity to see theatre from Ireland and beyond.

And it is a wonderful chance for youth theatre members to come together and make new friends!
