We are delighted to announce that we have received funding from the Department of Children, Disability, and Equality through their 2026 LGBTIQ+ Community Services Funding Call.
In 2027, under the Pathways to Professionalism programme, Youth Theatre Ireland will run a creative residency led by LGBTIQ+ facilitators for youth theatre members. The aim of the programme will be for youth theatre members to experience the possibilities and career paths possible for LGBTIQ+ artists. This programme will prioritise participants from rural areas but will be open to all.
We are thankful to the Department of Children, Disability, and Equality, for seeing the value of this project, and the impacts it will have on future generations of artists.
