Member to Facilitator is back in February 2025!
Member to Facilitator is part of the Pathways to Professionalism programme which is aimed at current senior youth members who are interested in a career in the arts. Member to Facilitator is specifically designed for youth theatre members who are interested in becoming youth theatre leaders, or learning facilitation skills.
This weekend, led by National Training Co-Ordinator Dave Kelly and Special Projects Officer Barry Morgan, is all about what facilitation is. How do you build or lead a workshop or warm-up? What is the purpose of each exercise that you do? This is a great opportunity if you are starting to lead exercises at your youth theatre, are interested in directing, or would like to in the future. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and try something new!
This weekend will be from February 18th-20th and will take place in either Maynooth or Dublin. You must be available for the full 3 days and be 16+ in order to take part.
Participation in this programme is free! We cover travel costs, accommodation, and food. Participants will arrive on the afternoon of February 18th by 4pm with the first session starting at 5pm the same evening.
Closing date for applications is January 5th.
If you have any questions or would like more information about our programmes, please contact the Rebecca Feely, the National Programme Co-Ordinator rebecca@youththeatre.ie (01) 878-1301 ext. 5.
