Delighted to announce the rescheduled dates for 'Laying the Foundations' drama facilitation training with Youth Theatre Ireland
2 day intensive workshop: Saturday 14th & Saturday 21st May
Arts in Co Kildare welcomes applications from Kildare-based youth arts workers to participate in 'Laying the Foundations' a two-day training in youth drama facilitation. This training will offer an excellent grounding for anyone interested in developing the facilitation skills at the heart of good youth theatre practice.
Through practical drama workshops, planning exercises, discussion and feedback sessions, participants will interrogate Laying the Foundations from the facilitator’s perspective.
Youth leaders who participate in this training can expect to take away:
- an increased understanding of youth drama facilitation methodologies;
- a toolkit of youth drama facilitation techniques;
- new workshop plans and exercises exploring fresh ways of building basic drama skills with a new group of young people;
- an increased understanding of how to plan exercises and workshops and;
- engage in opportunities to share experiences and network with other local participants.
Workshop details:
This training is offered free of charge to Kildare-based youth arts leaders working in the area of drama and is subsidised by Kildare County Council Arts Service. Places are limited.
A stipend towards expenses (€130/day) will be provided to youth arts leaders participating in this training.
