This year we have invited youth theatre members or recent alumni (not leaders) aged 18+ to apply to represent them at Youth Theatre Ireland's Practice Symposium this November.
The Youth Theatre Ireland Practice Symposium is an annual conference where youth theatre facilitators come together to engage in workshops, talks, and conversations around youth theatre, drama practice, and approaches.
The theme of our Symposium this year is Finding Your Authentic Voice and we are looking for youth theatre members who are passionate about storytelling to participate in the symposium!
This programme is for youth theatre members who are comfortable staying away from home, are punctual, open to meeting new people, responsible, and will represent their youth theatres to a high standard.
The Symposium takes place in Dublin on TU Dublin's campus on November 14th and 15th. You must be fully available on both days to attend. Letters of absence will be supplied for schools/universities upon request.
There will also be a public panel as part of the conference where 4-5 members of the group will be asked to speak and contribute.
One night's accommodation in a shared room in a hostel in Dublin city centre, reasonable transport costs, and food costs will be covered by Youth Theatre Ireland.
Please make sure to read the same schedule below and if you have any further questions, please get in touch with National Programme Co-Ordinator Rebecca Feely, rebecca@youththeatre.ie, (01) 878 1301 extension 5.
