Artist biography
Inés García is a Circus Artist, Musician, Creative, and Educator based in Galway.
Inés is a freelance circus educator and street performance artist. She works with Galway Community Circus where she is involved with developing new youth circus programs.
She pursues training first in manipulation and partner acrobatics skills in the LIDO, France, and Cabuwazi, Berlin. She also trained as an activist clown in France and with Jesús Jara, Spain. Inés currently works for Aoife’s Clown Doctors as Clown in the Paediatrics.
Additionally, Inés is a music educator with Music Generation - she works on developing and evaluating instrumental music programs. She is a committed performer with a strong music background. As educator, she is interested in the informal approach, based in movement and rhythm.
She is now involved in a variety of projects that all strive to bridge performance arts, circus, movement and education; She collaborates with Rosan, the immersive and sensory theatre company for children with additional needs. She is currently developing an interdisciplinary show with Fionnuala Gallagher. Also, she was granted an Agility Award to create an interactive music experience combining circus and movement.
She established the Acroyoga Galway community, and she runs regularly workshops for adults.
