Youth Theatres throw open their doors for the first ever Youth Theatre Ireland Open Week

On Wednesday 15th February, the National Association for Youth Drama will, after nearly 40 years, re-launch as Youth Theatre Ireland. To mark this exciting new era, we are taking the opportunity to celebrate the breadth and quality of work carried out in youth theatres across the country.
Starting on 13th February we will be promoting the first ever Youth Theatre Ireland Open Week, showcasing the work of a cross-section of our members. Fifteen youth theatres have signed up to host a variety of events including taster workshops, presentations and performances. Participating youth theatres will throw open their doors to the public and share the excellent work they do in their community.
The Youth Theatre Ireland team will be on the road, dropping into open days from Ballybofey to Skibbereen. Keep an eye on facebook and twitter as we report with the hashtag #weareyouththeatre
