Youth Theatre Ireland launches Playshare 2018

Youth Theatre Ireland launches Playshare 2018

With 8 new plays being added for 2018 we are delighted once again to hold our annual Playshare Day at the Axis Ballymun.

With an ever expanding database of texts for youth theatre groups and beyond, Playshare has now grown to impressive collection of 112 plays

To celebrate the launch, three member youth theatres will be performing staged extracts from three of the new Playshare plays for 2018.

Performing on the day are:

Complex Youth Theatre (Dublin) performing Don’t Smile ‘Til Christmas by Niall Cleary with additional scenes by Ellie Menton

WACT Youth Theatre (Wexford) performing The Black Eyes by Bev Clark

Cabinteely Youth Theatre (Dublin) performing This Is A Room by Dylan Coburn Gray

As the last major public event of the Youth Theatre Ireland year, the day is a great celebration of all that is unique and special about writing for youth theatre.

It’s also a wonderful opportunity for our youth theatre members to showcase the range of plays on offer while performing for their peers.

You will get a change to see how some of these plays look and sound off the page and you may even find a great play to work on with your group for next year.

Come join us on Sunday December 3rd at 2.30pm for this wonderful event. Tickets are free but places must be reserved in advance from Alan King at Youth Theatre Ireland
