Siobhan Coffey Memorial Bursary Award – Recipient Announced

Youth Theatre Ireland is thrilled to announce that Áine Caulfield is the first recipient of the Siobhan Coffey Memorial Bursary; the award covers a full residential place at our upcoming Leading On… training event.

Áine started out as an assistant in Mountmellick Youth Theatre in 2004 and went on to study Drama Facilitation with Artstrain. Áine served as Stage Manager of two National Youth Theatre productions, The Caucasian Chalk Circle (2007) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2008). In 2007, she became Youth Theatre co-ordinator for Portlaoise and Rathdowney Youth Theatres where she worked for many years. She relocated to Galway and worked in Druid Theatre for 5 years. She is now looking forward to getting back into youth theatre work.

Eoghan Doyle, Youth Theatre Ireland's Acting Director, commented: "We are delighted that Áine will be the first recipient of the Siobhan Coffey Memorial Bursary Award. We feel this is a wonderful way to remember Siobhan and also support the artistic development of leaders like Áine in the Youth Theatre Network."
