Siobhan Coffey Memorial Bursary Award

Siobhan Coffey Memorial Bursary Award

Youth Theatre Ireland is delighted to announce the inaugural Siobhan Coffey Memorial Bursary Award. Siobhan, who passed away in 2018, worked with a number of Youth Theatre groups in Laois and was a long standing supporter of Youth Theatre throughout Ireland. The Bursary Award will give a youth theatre leader the opportunity to avail of a full residential place at Leading On…, our annual training event. For 2019, we are offering Leading On….Making & Devising Theatre with Antoinette Duffy. This residential training will take place from 14 to 16 of June at Maynooth University.

Acting Director of Youth Theatre Ireland Eoghan Doyle said, "We are delighted to be able to put in place this Memorial Bursary Award in Siobhan’s name. She was a wonderful advocate for Youth Theatre and attended and participated in numerous Youth Theatre Ireland projects. We know she particularly enjoyed attending Leading On… so we felt that this would be an appropriate way to remember her contribution to Youth Theatre."
