***Child Protection Training***

Louise Holian, Youth Theatre Ireland's Child Protection & Welfare Officer, will lead a series of one-day Child Protection Awareness training workshops. This training will provide the tools and guidance for good practice in safeguarding for the youth work sector with an emphasis on youth theatre/youth arts settings. Keep an eye out here and on our webiste for the exact times and locations, whic will be announced later this year.
***Laying the Foundations: 3-day and 5-day Masterclass***
Following on from the success of our 3-day Laying the Foundations training earlier this year, we will be offering this opportunity again in September 2019:
- 3-day Laying the Foundations Masterclass with Dave Kelly: 10.30am to 5.00pm from 23 to 25 September at The Lab, Foley Street, Dublin.
- 5-day Laying the Foundations Masterclass with Dave Kelly: 10.00am to 1.00pm from 14 to 18 October at The Lab, Foley Street, Dublin.

***2-day Youth Theatre Symposium***
On 22 and 23 November, Youth Theatre Ireland, in collaboration with University College Cork and Theatre NI, will host a Symposium celebrating Youth Theatre practice. This 2-day event will combine our annual Symposium programme with our annual Playshare celebration. We hope you'll join us at University College Cork for this exciting opportunity that will include presentations and workshops on Youth Theatre Practice and networking opportunities for practitioners, and that will bring together a number of Youth Theatre Ireland projects including the launch of CentreStage+20, Playshare 2019, and our annual Youth Theatre Ireland Magazine. It will definitely be one of the highlights of the Youth Theatre calendar and not to be missed. Further details on the Youth Theatre Symposium will be announced in September.
