Centre Stage +20 Census Week: 24 - 30 November
Countdown to Census Week has begun! Youth Theatre Ireland’s Centre Stage +20 research project will kick off with a special Census Week for Youth Theatres from Friday 24th to Thursday 30th of November. It is essential all affiliated youth theatres log their activities for the census period as the information will be used to determine key priorities for the future development of youth theatre
A Census pack will be sent out to all youth theatres on November 14th. The pack will include forms and all the information you need to audit your group's activities during Census Week.
Centre Stage +20 will depict current youth theatre activity in Ireland and influence the future development of youth theatre in this country. Make sure you are part of it!
Centre Stage +20
The Centre Stage +20 research project aims to generate a detailed picture of current youth theatre activity in Ireland and to determine the key priorities for the future development of youth theatre. Youth Theatre Ireland staff will be working with its affiliated youth theatres between November and May 2018 to gather information which will help us tell the story of: youth theatre practice and programming; youth theatre members and leaders; youth theatre structures, funding and resources; outcomes of participation in youth theatre. We intend to gather this information through workshops for youth theatre members; a census week; questionnaires for leaders and members and interviews with selected youth theatres.
The research project will be led by Rhona Dunnett, Research and Development Officer at Youth Theatre Ireland. If you have any questions or want to find out more about your involvement, the contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org
Centre Stage +20 is the third national study of youth theatre undertaken by Youth Theatre Ireland. If you are interested in previous Centre Stage reports, check out the research page on our website: http://www.youththeatre.ie/resources/research-projects
